I decided to write something to tell of what I thought of this, instead of the bog-standard "nice pic bro", spreading out the review bit over the whole thing... so, enjoy!

|Archaeological Site UA-103|
|Progress Report, MET: 13D:6H:47M

Progress is slow and tedious, as every time we try to bring equipment of any sort near it, the energy flow 'redirects' towards them. We still have no idea where all this energy is coming from, but it seems to channel between the two intact sub-pillars and the primary construct. It's quite fascinating, the way the artifact reacts to our presence; it's almost... organic—as if 'it' thought our equipment might harm it. And the way the energy flow redirects is very odd; when a sub-pillar redirects its' flow, a second beam is emitted from it, and yet, there doesn't seem to be any loss of energy density at all, meaning that the sub-pillars' power sources variate their power output dynamically! In addition to that, the fact that the artifact lets us near it when we aren't carrying anything potentially dangerous, and can identify such potentially dangerous objects, among exhibiting multiple other lifelike behaviors, leads me to believe that this artifact may be sentient. Also something of note, the weather seems to be influenced by the artifact in some way; I suspect the artifact's 'mood' has something to do with it, although I can't accurately test this suspicion.

Overall, things are doing well. The weather is as good as it could get up here (the artifact may be to thank for that), and that combined with the serene landscape has helped greatly in maintaining high morale. I must admit, the beauty of this place is very calming, everything here looks as if we are the first people here in centuries, and I'm quite confident that we are, in fact, the first visitors to this gorge in a very, very long time.

Thanks! I sometimes like to write about a piece of art to practice writing, and I think this was my best so far! (So thanks for the amazing inspiration too)

niiice, a small question though, are the ruins supposed to be Ancient technology or mystic energies? :D

I was seeing it as some weird energy but you can make up your own interpretation :D the Story Deuce777 came up with below fits brilliantly imo!
